(Copied by a WPA Worker - November 11, 1939)

There was no listing for this cemetery and no history; however, it may be the resting place of some Weatherford family members who are lost to their descendants.

I David A. Smith, of the County of Lawrence, State of Alabama, in a purchase which I have this day made of William P. McKee of the County of Madison, State of Illinois of the East ½ of the NW 1/4 of Section 12, Township Nine north of Range eleven West of the third principal meridian of land in Illinois do hereby allow a reservation of one fourth of an acre around the burial ground of the Weatherford family to and for the use of said family. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 45h day of June, 1835.
