BIOGRAPHY: From a letter by Donald Husman to Ilene Jones 26 January 1993. His recollection of information from his Dad is that the Husman's came from the "low country" near the border with the Netherlands. He remembers that Grandma Husman (Susan Dahler Husman) telling that Grandpa came from around Hamburg. Donald has a faint recollection of great-grandma Husman (Anna Gesche Sunderman Husman). He believes that she died in 1919. He said that he doesn't ever remember seeing her standing--she was always sitting in a rocking chair where she could look out the big window in grandma's living room. At that time, grandma lived in the big house two doors south of the Zimmerman Bros. store. As he remembers her, she was rather short and plump. She laughed a lot, always wore a black dress and wore a little white, lace cap with a ribbon tied under her chin. She must have come from Germany because she didn't speak any English that he can remember. He couldn't even remember her name.
