It's time to update the Sawyer Family Update previously completed in 1988 by my mother, Ellen (Salter) DalPozzo who worked with George & Santina Sawyer to update their original Sawyer Family book.

There is a group of Sawyer descendants working to update this book and hopefully do so in 2008. We can't do this alone - there are too many of us and we need to gather your updated information, your corrections from previous editions, and additional information.

I need updated ancestor charts, family group sheets, pictures, stories, newspaper articles, birth, marriage, death certificates, anything pertaining to your branch of the family. If you can, scan them at 300 dpi and send to me via e-mail as a .jpg file that would be great. You will need to put the ancestor name in the subject line. If that is not possible, please notify me before you send photos by snail mail so I can watch the mail, scan them and return them to you quickly.

We will be traveling back to Tyrrell County in June of this year and taking more pictures and correcting my mis-information from last year. We will also try to travel to Camden, NC and meet with another Sawyer descendant who contacted me last year after we returned from our trip.

I know I have not scratched the surface of the Sawyer descendants I need to reach. I've lost contact with some of the Texas branch, the Washington state branch; and those who remained "back East". So, I am asking you to share this request with others. Have them contact me at my address or e-mail below and I will add them to the list.
