Located in Section 33 on Route 111 on the north edge of
Palmyra
on the west side of the road, at the
northwest corner of insection of Elder Street and State Route 111.
Quoted from the Historical Society Cemetery Book,
"....is one of the first cemeteries laid out in Macoupin County."

Note from Connie Johnston Clark:
Isaac B. Johnston's first wife was also an Elizabeth,
Elizabeth King Johnston born 1804 and died 1842 and is also buried
there. Isaac and his second wife Elizabeth Berry lived at
Chapman's
Point and their son Isaac Newton Johnston married Emily Frances Chapman
and they are buried at Oak Grove.
