Information from Carol Dugger:
"Simeon B. Dugger (nickname was "Bow") was b. abt 1846 in Omaha, Gallatin Co IL (near Shawneetown). He was 18 when he enlisted in the Union Army as a private in Co. B., 10 Regiment of the Illinois Infantry on Feb 23, 1864 in Jacksonville, IL. He was wounded in the left shoulder at the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain in Georgia on June 27, 1864 and was sent to "Hospital 2, Div. 14 AC" in Nashville TN, the same hospital where his brother Hardin had died.   He was sent home to Jacksonville, IL after being charged "$3.80 for general transportation" from Louisville, KY July 28, 1864. His left arm had been badly shattered and it was amputated in Jacksonville, IL but done too late to save his life. He died 15 Aug 1864 IN Jacksonville IL.

According to the Macoupin Co Tombstone book he is buried in 2 different places .  The information from Shipman Cemetery is not correct.(Their dates are those of Simeon's cousin, James L. Dugger, son of John Harrison Dugger. Also we believe that Simeon is buried next to his mother, Dilly King Pritchett Dugger. The burial info was that a Mrs. W. Dugger was buried in the space next to Simeon. Dilly was the only person we could find that would be a Mrs. W. Dugger and she called her husband Washington. There is no longer any marker on her grave."
