Very little was found in the WPA Cemetery listings for Gillespie Catholic Cemetery, other than a one page
deed. I am only copying the names and dates from this deed and not the legal land description.

The Grantors: Michael J. Ganey and Laura A. Ganey, his wife of the town of Cahokia in the County of
Macoupin and State of Illinois, for and in consideration of $700 in hand paid, convey and warrant to the Trustees of
SS Simon and Jude Catholic Church of GiJlespie of the City of Gillespie County of Macoupin, State of Illinois the
