Most of the information in the newsletters is of an historical nature and not items that will change. We devote a page or so to upcoming genealogy fairs, seminars, reunions or current happenings. If you have information to contribute to The Searcher, please contact Mary McKenzie. If you need a page copied from a Macoupin County Genealogical Publication such as our newsletter, the Macoupin County Searcher (sample online), the charge is $1.00 per page and a large SASE must be provided. The proceeds go to the Macoupin County Genealogical Society. For more information or requests, send correspondence to the address shown above and include LSASE. Jill is our main cemetery person. If you know of any unmarked graves or burials, including histories or items of interest about these cemeteries that you think should be included in cemetery publications, please mail the society at the above address or contact Jill Secoy. She would appreciate any information that you might have. Volunteers Needed! If you can help organize genealogical materials or assist with whatever else needs to be done in our Genealogy Room at the Staunton Public Library, please mail the society at the above address or contact our Archivist-Sharon Bruhn. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
