Mary McKenzie wrote, "The Macoupin Statesmen" is not available at the Carlinville Public Library but it is at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library: (Note from Mary McKenzie - "The Macoupin County Statesman is the oldest Macoupin County newpaper on microfilm and very few issues of it are available on microfilm. I don't know why the state doesn't have the 1937-1940 film, maybe they do & just forgot to list it. This in addition to what they have listed. Also, the 1897 Times is on microfilm at the library & at office. State doesn't list it either.")
