My ggg-grandfather Patton Walker lived in Macoupin County, IL as shown in the 1830, 1840 &
1850 US Federal Censuses. He was born in VA abt. 1770. His wife was Martha (unknown maiden
name). His children were: Lewis William, Unknown daughter, Daniel, Pleasant, Manoah B. and Nancy.
My line is Patton to Lewis William to Patton A. to Charles M. to Charles K. to me.

Does anyone have any information on the William or Henry Kerley families who were in this county in
the 1860's? I am a descendant of a William Kerley/Carley of MA in the 1600's and had Carley relatives
in Cook Co. from the 1840s. William and Henry were tied as siblings in 1633 - were these Kerleys part

Rebecca Elizabeth Caudle Emmons (b. in Illinois 2/17/1835) wife of Henry Zachariah Emmons was the
daughter of Thomas Parish Caudle and Hester Ann Butcher Caudle. Rebecca Elizabeth's grandparents
were: Joshua Caudle (b. 1770 Chatham Co., NC and d. 1850 Wayne Co. Il) m. Elizabeth Green about
1870 in N. C. and Rebecca Narcissus Rentfro Land Butcher, Obviously Rebecca Elizabeth Caudle
Emmons was named for her two grandmothers and she is buried in Land's cemetery in Macoupin
County along with her husband, some children, and her grandmother Rebecca Narcissus Rentfro Land
Butcher (1785-1863) who m. John Land 1802 who had children by prior marriage: Fountain Land and
Celia. John Land died and she m. Isaac Butcher. I am wanting to know more about any of these folks
and especially family of Elizaeth Green married about 1870 in N.C. to Joshua Caudle. Elizabeth Green
Caudle (1780-dec 11, 1837) is buried in Panther Creek Cemetery Scottville Township of Macoupin Co.

My maternal ancestors are Patchens and Patchins. I'm looking for the burial place of Sarah Stoddard
Patchin; her husband, Daniel Tomlinson Patchin, predeceased her. In 1900 Sarah was living in
Pendleton, OR (at age 90) with a daughter and her husband: Charles Campbell and Harriett Patchin
Campbell. By 1904 the Campbells had moved to Walla Walla, Washington. Daniel was buried in
Pendleton, but no grave is shown for Sarah. Any help on the above or information about descendants
of Daniel and Sarah who may have old family records, mementos, photos, etc. would be very much
appreciated. I'll share what information and photos I have of Patchens and Stoddards. Thanks!

Hello...my husband and I just bought a house in the historic district of Trenton, Tennessee. I am doing
research into the soldier named "Samuel M. Piper" from Nilwood, Macoupin/Greene county, Illinois that
was killed in my backyard by a confederate soldier named "Sam Wells"....I am trying to find out any
info on him so I can put up a memorial plaque for him next to one of the 2 battle of trenton tour stops

FINLEY d. Nov. 12 1945 married Sarah STANFORD d 1839, both of South Carolina. Daughter Gabrilla
Finley married Samuel Byron Culp, father of William Newton Culp. Sarah and William Finley of SC, GA,

This is a correction to my recent query regarding Elizabeth Green who married Joshua Caudle (the son
of Jesse Caudle). i said they married in 1870 which is not correct. I don't have a marriage date. Joshua
was born in 1770 chatham Co. NC and died 1850 Wayne Co. Illinois. He did marry Eliz. Green who was
b. 1780 and died Dec. 11, 1837 in Macoupin Co. Illinois and is buried in Panther Creek cemetery in
Scottville Township of Macoupin Co. Illinois. Joshua and his father Jesse moved their families from NC.
to Maury/Marshall Co. Tn and Joshua was decon of the Shiloh (Rock Creek) Baptist Church near
Lewisburg in Maury Co. Tn for several years. Land records show Joshua and sons Thomas, john, and
Isham bought land in Macoupin Co. Illinois in 1834-1836 and Samual, Isham and Sion (son of John)
bought land in Wayne Co. Illinois. I have the names of 8 children of Joshua Caudle. Would love to find out who Elizabeth Green's parents were and her siblings as well.

Im trying to find the records of my great grand mother Catherine Caile Arnicar she was born in Italy
(recoaro) came to United States married with Ferdinandoi Arnicar with 1 child. She became widow
around 1900. She was the mother of 4 children, remarried with my great grand father, had a little girl
Harriet (my grandmother). This girl was born in St. Louis 1911. She lived in Staunton Illinois, around
1917/1918. Catherine passed away for what I think was the fever. My grandmother was around 9
years old, her father (my great grandfather) took her back to Italy in Vicenza, where she is still alive.
She is now 94 years old. We are trying for a long time to find photos, records and history about her life
in the states, her half brothers or families, we are trying to know much more about her past. We have
tried to find her birth record but is impossible, if someone can help us finding records about HARRIET
DAL MASO and the ARNICAR family we will very much appreciated, Thanks

I am searching for the Roman Catholic Church in which my Heintz relatives might have had their
children baptized. The children were born beginning in 1878 and the last in 1891. The family lived,
according to census records, in Chesterfield and Medora. I find that the Catholic church in Medora
wasn't started until 1911. Can anyone help with the name/s of a church/churches they may have
attended? Are there records available? Victor and Catherine Heintz were the parents. Victor was
reportedly a boot and shoe merchant. He and his family later moved to Alton, IL. Thanks.

I am seeking information on Henderson McDonald or his son Harvey McDonald. The little information I
have on them indicates they lived in Macoupin Co. prior to moving to Dent Co. MO. Harvey was said to
have been born in Macoupin Co. Dent Co., MO records show him marrying Sarah Blackwell there in
1867. We also have a picture of him showing him as a young man in his twenties around 1863, so we

Looking for any information concerning Robert (or Arthur) Hughes, believed to have died 1/3/1900 in
Staunton Illinois by falling between cars on a train. He may have been an agent or salesman, possibly

My ggg grandfather was John HARRIS born 1831 in Monroe County, Tennessee (according to his
military record). He married Malinda POTTS about 1855. Malinda POTTS was b. 6 Jan 1838, she is said
to have been born in Germany but some records show her born in Illinois. They were living in
Carlinville,Macoupin County, Illinios in in 1860's when and after John volunteered in the Civil War. He
served in ILL CO K 122 RGT VOL INF. John and Malinda had 8 known children: (1) Robert b. 27 mar
1862 in Illinios (2) Jesse Marion b. 30 Nov 1869 in Jasper County, MO (3) Candasa Saphronie Amanda

My great-great-aunt Martha Harrison Robertson moved to Macoupin County, Illinois, sometime after
the WBS, taking with her six of her youngest children. Nathaniel J. had died sometime during the War.
I have been trying to find Martha's family in Macoupin. I think she was related to Moses Justus. Her
son Robert Lasley married Louisa Barnett, her son James H. married Emma I. Katie Plain. Her son
Uriah Hicks married Hattie C. Unknown. Three other children Andrew Andy Robertson, Henry Moses

I am searching for more information on Benajmin and Mary Hogan Malam. They were living in
Macoupin County in 1860 - 1880 when they moved onto Missouri. Known children are William J., Lela

were born in Ohio. James died between 1855 and 1860. Their children born 1850-1856 were James W.
and George W. Elizabeth moved to Marion County Iowa to be near her brother, Daniel Davidson. James

Would like a source or web site to research where Henry P. Dingerson came into the U.S. Census data
indicates he came from Prussia in about 1842 or 1843. General belief from others I have talked to is
that he probably entered from New Orleans. This is not a known fact. Any information any one may
have or know where I can search would be appreciated.

Need information on Elizabeth White (married name) married to Wm White. Wm was born in Morgan
Co Tenn, Elizabeth died 5-27-1886 age 50yr 10months and 12 days ( days not sure, stone old) also
informaton on Wm. They may have orginaly moved to Morgan Co Ill first but all ended up in this
county. Do not know if Elizabeth was born in Tenn or not.

I am looking for the parents of Ada Jane Brayford and William Estel Morgan. Some of their offspring
are Lloyd, Stanley, Ernie, Shirley (my mother), Opal, Ruby, and Lillian. My Mom married George Dewey

Looking for information on the Henry Kearney family that lived in Greene, Macoupin and Montgomery
counties (east of Virden) from about 1865 to 1884 when they moved to Nebraska to homestead. Henry
was married to Mary Ann Jones and her Mother Jane B Lisles also lived in the area.

Searching for information on Fenton E. Taylor, born 1887; died 1914. Believed to have been shot and
killed in a robbery of a hardware store in Carlinville, Illinois. Also looking for information on his brother,
Earl R. Taylor, born 1886 died 12/12/1926 in Lockport Twp, Will County, Il, (?prison?)(?Joliet?). Earl
was also involved in a robbery (?same robbery as above?). Both were sons of Anna Mary (Anderson)
Taylor and William T. Taylor. Any information is greatly appreciated.
