I am searching for the parents and any siblings of my gg grandfather, Andrew T. (or J.?) Nanney. He
reported being born in TN and being 27 in the 1850 Dallas Co., TX census. He married Susanna
"Susan" Ray in Macoupin Co. 13 Ja 1842. She was born in IL on 6 Ap 1825, the daughter of Robert Ray
(b. 1805 NC) and Mary Denton Ray (b. 1799 KY). They married 5 Ap 1823 in Madison Co., IL. Andrew
& Susan had 2 sons in IL and 3 more children after migrating to TX in 1847. Her parents also
migrated to TX with them. Andrew & Susan both died during the 1850s, leaving 4 of their children
to the care of Robert & Mary by 1860. Benjamin W. Nanney (b. 18 N 1824 White Co., TN) married
Amanda Harris in Macoupin Co. on 5 D 1843. He reportedly died Mr 1850. He was from a well
documented family that was in TN from the early 1820s until at least the mid 1830s. His parents,
William Nanney and Ruth Harris, and siblings were in Fayette Co., IL by at least 1837 until the 1850s.
Many of her Harris relatives are documented in Macoupin Co. during the 1840s. This is the only early
Illinois Nanney family that I have been able to locate. I believe that my first mentioned relative must
have been somehow linked to this family. I would appreciate any supporting or contradicting
data.

b.1858/60 mar.1881 d.1893 bur. Four Mile, Wayne Co. Il. All I know of Thomas Robertson is his birth
year l855. The Robertson family stayed pretty much together as they traveled back and forth from
Macoupin Co. to Wayne and Jefferson Co. in So. Illinois. Hudson has been found with a couple of
names. Robertson is correct, that is on some of the marriage lisence and his tombstone. On the 1881
plat here his widow is spelled Robinson. On a muster list for Hudson it is spelled Robison. You see why
I have to look at all spellings when I research. I don't know where Nancy is buried but I haven't done
much here. There is a lot of stones missing or empty spaces between David and Hudson and the cem.
is very old David d. l872, Hudson d. l873. Hudson had a 2nd wife, Tabitha, who is my g-grandma,

Searching information about David M. Andrews, I found a few records listing him as an inmate at the
Macoupin Almshouse. So it seems Charles and Edgar's father did not die as the family has always
thought. The records I found were the 1920 and 1930 Census. I did find a David Andrews living in
Virden on the 1900 Census. He is listed as head of household but no others are listed with him. Other
than David and Hattie's marriage and Charles' birth, I can find nothing further on Hattie Price Andrews
and what happened to her. David's parents, William W. Andrews and Susanna Vancil have presented
me with yet another mystery. I have found only one record for William and that was the 1840 Census
listing him in Virden. After that nothing. Susanna or sometimes Susan is on the other census records in
Virden but the strange thing is that more children are added and there is no male head of the
house listed. What a strange family I have!

I am looking for the Marlene Bates Johnson who is Amy Bates daughter, who was a daughter of John
Kramer. I am trying to chase down relatives. Amy was my aunt and John Kramer is my grandfather. If
this is the Marlene I am looking for, can you forward my info to her. I would like to get any genealogy I
can from her. Thanks, Alma Kramer, daughter of Delbert Kramer

I am in the process of tracking down information about one of my newgenetic cousins. I am a member
of the Group 6, Harris Family Y-DNA Family Study. This cousin matches up with me and believes that
part of her line was possibly in Macoupin County, Illinois. Who were the parents of these three
persons: David Coop, Elizabeth Harris, John A. Harris? Is this John A. Harris originally named Andrew
Jackson Harris, son of John Harris and Elizabeth Black? Any information is appreciated. Ira L. Harris III

My great-uncle was Harm Johnson (janssen, jansen, etc); from his obit he grew to manhood in Mt.
Olive; but I cannot find him in the census of the area, (I have ancestry.com and cannot find him); or
his family; He married Mary Hackmann from Alahambra. She had 4-5 sisters, but I don t find them
either. I believe her father was Henry Hackman(n). From a 1914 Farmer s Almanac from Christian Co.,
it indicates they came to Christian Co in 1878; but they came to the US in 1862-65; so I was thinking
they must have settled somewhere in the Mt. Olive area first, then moved to Christian Co. But I cannot
prove that. He was married around 1886.

I am looking for the family history "Point of Entry into the United States" of John Wesley Johnson. He
was born on or about 1819, died Feb 4 or 5, 1865. He was married to Missouri Ann Johnson (Maiden:
Smith) who died in 1902. Both are buried at the Mt. Pleasant/Piasa cemetery in Piasa, IL along with
Children Emily, Samuel, Joseph A., and his wife Alice. John Wesley Johnson is my direct Great, Great
Grandfather. Joseph A. Johnson is my Great Grandfather. I am deeply grateful for any information or
leads available. Thank You. Frank J. Johnson

I am trying to reach Deloris Deann Summers who posted an obit for Michael Koenig on your website. I
believe that Michael Koenig is the brother of my great grandmother Clara Koenig Johnson. I am hoping
that Ms. Summers can fill in some blanks for me.

I am looking for information on Bertie B WEISS, b ca 1872. She is listed on the 1880 Census in
Brighton Townships as the 8 year old daughter of Henry and Catherine WEISS. Emma Jane WEISS
appears on the same census as a 15 year old daughter. However, Emma Jane's obit states she was the
youngest child of Henry and Catherine. Any info on Bertie would be appreciated!
